Client Case Studies, Results, & Outcomes - Oakland University

A state-supported institution of higher education sought recommendations for future awarding strategies.

Scannell & Kurz was contracted by Oakland University in 2006 to review the price sensitivity of freshman and transfer admit pools. The project included analyzing outcomes in terms of enrollments, net tuition revenue, and quality profile. When S&K recommendations were implemented in 2008, both freshman NTR and enrollments increased!

Results of Our Work Together

Freshman NTR increased by $5.4 million between fall 2006 and fall 2008! The average ACT score increased from 21.6 in fall 2006 to 22.0 in fall 2008, and enrolled freshmen numbers increased from 2248 to 2332 during that same time.
